So I was out in LA all last week. I managed to have two JetBlue planes with bad satelite reception! Thanks for the $25 voucher -- I would have rather been able to watch the NBA playoffs. I instead got stuck with only the BS pay perview movies that they have -- 32 Dresses (I think that's the name), The knock off of 300 (I liked 300), and Jumpers (which could be the worst movie ever released).
The trip however was a success. We got to meet with a lot of very cool people and their are a lot of very cool MusicSkins projects on the way. Shout out to my cousin Jessie (not really my cousin, but for the sake of Enterprise friends & fam discount -- HE IS!) Drove a sick Nissan Morano for $25/ day including gas! I ate at a really really impressive Italian spot somwhere near my boy Tommy's crib (the owner of HipHopDX.com -- he is the man) one night. The food was ill, the atmosphere was intense, and the prices were reasonable. Sorry there are no pictures, I was too busy workin.
Finally -- LA traffic is un-real! I'm from DC and live in NYC so I know traffic, but I have never seen a city where there is traffic 24 hrs a day. The Garmin GPS should account for the 45 minutes it takes to go 10 miles - "destination is 2.4 miles, estimated arrival time is 8 minutes." If we made it there in 40 minutes we were making good time! My first Post. My first night in my new crib
So I have finally moved into my new spot. New house, new office, new ....... It sounds much better than it really is. In all honesty I can't afford any of it, but yet I still find the dough to buy kicks. Thats right -- sneakers, trainers, pieces, dope-freshness. You might ask why? My answer is becasue I can -- I got the hook up. No it has nothing to do with the movie that my mentor and icon Master P put together in the mid 90's. Its the real excusive ish you see in Complex that you ask your local footocker manager about. He has not a clue my friend-- if you want em and can't get em-- I got em already in a sz 10.5. If there is 50 pairs in the world and your ready to drop $500 on ebay for em -- I paid retail minus a 15% discount. You can't do that even if you tried! Its the type of exclusive ish that you can't pitch a tent and wait ouside for a week for. (Get a job and try camping out for a week then!!) And no I don't sell the dopeness on ebay. I keep them, admire them and if you're lucky, I rock them and steel your girl!! Just kidding (maybe not)!
So this is my first post. Ill do my best to break down life, money, fresh gear, and if you're lucky I might share a couple of tricks I have came up with along the way. Stay Tuned for collection pictures -- Above is a taste! Lastly, if you see me and I break your neck, don't stop and ask me where you can get a pair -- because you can't!
